Who is Hush? The short version
Hush is Valorant’s 30th agent and its ninth Duelist. Riot calls her a reality-bending Duelist joining the Protocol from Guangdong, China, and the official line is that she rewrites the rules of the battlefield. She fights like a telekinetic: the cinematic sells her by moving objects and people with her mind.
She was revealed on October 18, 2026 and goes live on October 27, 2026 with Season 26, Act VI. For costs and counters, the Hush abilities page covers the mechanics; this page is about who she is.
Where Hush is from: Guangdong and the Lingnan connection
Riot’s official description places her origin at Guangdong, China. That is the only detail the studio has given about where she comes from, and it is the one we treat as fact.
Guangdong sits in the Lingnan region, in the south of China, and the trailer reflects that setting directly: she speaks Cantonese, a language with deep roots in Guangdong. She is the first agent from Lingnan.
She is also the third Chinese agent in Valorant, after Sage (Xi’an) and Iso (Chongqing). Riot has not said whether she shares a storyline with either of them, and we do not assume one.
RISE AND FALL: what the cinematic tells us about her
The official trailer is titled RISE AND FALL (《一念起落》 in Chinese), and nearly everything we know about her character comes from it.
The restaurant fight
The centrepiece is a restaurant scene in which she takes down a group of gang members. It is one woman against a full room, and she never looks rushed.
Moved by will: the Ghost and the blink
From one of the fallen men she takes a Ghost pistol without touching him, pulling the weapon to her hand.
Elsewhere she moves objects with her will and arrives instantly at her target. Both are the film’s way of saying "telekinesis", not in-game timings: the pistol grab maps to Telekinesis, the instant arrival to Flow. The full ability breakdown has the mechanical version and the trailer breakdown the shot-by-shot.
The phone call in the middle of the fight
Halfway through, she stops to take a call from her mother, the phone floating beside her hand. Riot captioned the clip "Chut… Hush...": the most dangerous person in the room is also somebody’s daughter.
Her name, and what her design signals
Her codename is Hush, and the official Chinese name is 遐思. The English name is an instruction to be quiet, but her design leans the other way: long white hair, a blunt hime cut, pink eyes that flare when her power is active, an all-black outfit, and pink shards floating around her.
One popular reading — only a reading, not official lore — is that the quiet name and the loud kit are meant to contrast. Riot has never commented on this, so treat it as interpretation rather than canon.
Voice and languages
In the trailer she speaks Cantonese. It is the language Riot chose for her debut, and it lines up with the Guangdong origin the studio has stated.
Her voice actor has not been announced. Riot has not credited a VA for Hush in any official material, and we will not guess at a name.
Valorant voice lines change with your client’s voice language setting, so what Hush says in your game depends on your settings. Until October 27, the only performance anyone has heard is the trailer’s.
What Riot has not told us yet
It is tempting to fill the gaps in a character like this. These are the gaps.
- We do not invent lore to fill those gaps. When Riot publishes her biography, this table changes.
| What we know | What is still unknown |

How to read her first cinematic
A cinematic is marketing first and a specification sheet never. Three things to keep in mind.
1. The film shows a concept, not numbers
Nothing in the trailer gives you a cooldown, a cost or a duration. It shows the fantasy the designers are selling: a Duelist who controls the space around her instead of moving through it quickly.
2. The Ghost grab and the blink are dramatised abilities
The pistol grab is a cinematic Telekinesis, and the instant arrival is a cinematic Flow. In game both are limited by range, timing and cooldown. The full ability breakdown has the mechanical version; the trailer breakdown has the shot-by-shot.
3. Ignore the pre-reveal leaks
Two widely shared claims — that she can copy a teammate’s signature ability, and that she has separate attacking and defending Ultimates — were both disproven by the official reveal. The gameplay page tracks what is actually playable; the theme song page covers the trailer’s music.
